About Homecoming
After years of covering wars and conflicts around the globe, British photographer Don McCullin - one of the best photojournalists of his generation - went home in the hopes discovering who he was and where he came from. This volume of images of Britain and the English people was the result. The celebrated photojournalist's second book. While McCullin is best known for his war photographs, this book features insightfully captured images of often everyday British life, with an emphasis on the eccentric, the overlooked, or hidden. Photographs and biographical essay by Don McCullin.
Artist Bio
McCullin now spends his days in a Somerset village, where he photographs the landscape and arranges still lifes. A far cry from the world’s conflict zones and the war-scarred north London of Holloway Road where his career began.
