About Stromboli

Stromboli is a fantastic documentation of this island during the photographer’s visits back in 1989 and 1990. Through exquisite, evocative images, Nori captures the passion and the magic of this Mediterranean volcanic island.

The landscape, which is composed by enormous rock formations surrounded by the sea, creates a dramatic background for a series of beautiful black and white portraits, full of emotion. Furthermore, it acts like both, background and subject of Stromboli. The photographer’s admiration for this unique location is clear in the photographs, through the way he exposes the textures, the light and the beauty of the island.
