Jill Freedman Books

Jill Freedman (1939 - 2019) was a highly respected New York City documentary and street photographer whose award-winning work is included in the permanent collections of The Museum of Modern Art, the International Center of Photography,  The Smithsonian American Art Museum among many other international institutions.  She appeared in solo and group exhibitions throughout the world, and contributed too many prominent publications.

Jill Freedman was best known for her street and documentary photography, recalling the work of André Kertész, Dorothea Lange, and Henri Cartier-Bresson. She published seven photobooks during her lifetime, including: FirehouseResurrection CityA Time That Was as well as many more. We have these titles available for sale below.
