Lukas Hoffmann is a contemporary Swiss fine-art photographer born in 1981 in Zug, Switzerland, who currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany. He is best known for his conceptual stringency and highly meticulous, analogue approach to photography, working almost exclusively with a large-format view camera. Hoffmann exercises total artistic control over his work by developing his own prints and crafting his own frames. His photography balances extreme structure with elements of chance, often bending reality into abstract compositions.
