Jeanloup Sieff was a French photographer born in Paris to Polish parents. He is famous for his portraits of politicians, famous artists, landscapes, as well as for his nudes and use of wide-angle lens and visible dodging marks. This book accompanied a travelling Japanese retrospective in 1990, displaying Sieff's most well known subject matters.
