An afternoon of bullfighting is a trip to the heart of a profession deeply rooted in the birthplace of the photographer, bullfighting, and in one of the cathedrals of bullfighting: the bullring of the Real Maestranza de Caballería de Sevilla, which becomes a kind of laboratory where the author experiences different techniques and influences. A very powerful work in black and white that has obvious cinematographic resonances (among them, the sequence shot that opens the film Raging Bull, by Martin Scorsese) and of the masters of the Japanese photographic school, such as Daido Moriyama.
