You an Orchestra You a Bomb is Cig Harvey's third monograph. It is a haunting, poetic and  vibrant book that explores the relationship between Harvey and life itself.

Perhaps, because it was a project that started after a life-changing moment for the artist, it captures the present as a fragile concept. Thus, this book pays a beautiful tribute to the everyday, but in an enhancing way. Accordingly, it turns the banal into magnificent. As well as the normal into magic, exceptional and often disastrous experiences. So, through ephemeral moments of beauty, the viewer gets to understand Harvey's experience of the world, how she relates to it. This way, this monograph is full of poetic imagery that speaks of the temporary nature of life.

Rich in implied narrative, Harvey’s work is deeply rooted in the natural environment, and offers explorations of belonging and familial relationships. The photographs and artist books of Cig Harvey have been widely exhibited and remain in the permanent collections of major museums and collections, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the Farnsworth Art Museum, Rockland, Maine; and the International Museum of Photography and Film at the George Eastman House, Rochester, New York.
