About Umiko

When Shintsubo was asked by Purple magazine to photograph beauty his mind immediately turned to Umiko - a young Japanese woman living in Kyoto, whose name means 'the child of the lake', and whose parents had given her this name owing to the lake in the town where she was born, in Switzerland. Designed by groovisions Hiroshi Ito, this glossy volume portrays Umiko in a soft beauty.
