Diana Markosian

Diana Markosian is an American and Russian artist of Armenian descent. Markosian works as a documentary photographer, writer, and filmmaker. Born in the former Soviet Union, her family immigrated to the United States when she was a child, leaving her father behind.

Diana Markosian is known for her intimate approach to storytelling. She uses both photography and video. Her projects have taken her to some of the most remote corners of the world. There she has created work that is both conceptual and documentary. Furthermore, her images can be found in publications like National Geographic Magazine, The New Yorker and The New York Times. Markosian holds a Masters of Science from Columbia University in New York. Her work is represented by Galerie Les Filles du Calvaire in Paris, France and Rose Gallery in Los Angeles, California.
