About
"What I am interested in is what is shown and the relationship of what is photographed is how it is photographed." First edition of legendary street photographer Garry Winogrand’s fourth book, a series of rodeo shots captured at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. A New York native, Winogrand lived in Austin between 1973 and '78 to teach photography at the University of Texas. It was during this period he documented the legendary Texas event, the oldest continuously running livestock show and rodeo in the US. Illustrated with over 100 black-and-white plates; with an essay by Ron Tyler, director of the Amon Carter Museum of Western Art, Fort Worth.
