About

“Brionglóid” (“Dream” in Irish) was born from a series of themed Instagram Reels created by our co-funder Brían Sparks for the Island Photographers account. Inspired by the visual storytelling of these Reels, we transformed one of them into our first publication, the start of an ongoing series celebrating contemporary photography from across Ireland.

A total of 41 of Ireland’s most exciting photographers collaborated to bring this dream to life. After many iterations, the final publication was designed with a striking cover by graphic design star Keith Nally and printed in Lithuania by specialist printers Kopa. The result is a lavish 48-page large-format (36 x 25 cm) publication — too sophisticated to be a zine, and not quite a book — hence our choice to call it a publication...
