About Lua Ribeira

Lua Ribeira is a Spanish photographer whose practice is collaborative, research-driven, and immersive, using photography to create encounters that challenge social and structural separations between people. Born in 1986 in Galicia, she studied Graphic Design in Barcelona and later earned a first-class BA in Documentary Photography in the UK. Alongside her practice, she has worked as a guest lecturer at several universities. Her work has received notable awards, been widely published, and exhibited internationally in major galleries and photography biennales.
