About
First published in 2003, this monograph is comprised of 28 black-and-white duotone photographs. The imagery alternates between soft landscapes and stark, man-made structures.
From the introduction:
"Rolfe is a seer in both the real and the other world. He shifts back and forth creating a balance of visual dynamics working as his photographic canvas. His images are quieter than most. There is a subtle handling of tone and object that has the qualities of a moving meditation. Each step is taken with intent, but the thought of the reward of such action is not considered as he strides forward. It is not the coming to his final destinations that is the goal; it is the curious journey in its wanderings that make the creative possibilities."
