In celebration of the centennial of Strand’s birth, Lumiere Press issued Orgeval by Naomi Rosenblum, the distinguished art historian and author of A World History of Photography. Her close friendship with Strand is remembered through her diary of 1976 recorded during her last visit to see him at his home in Orgeval, France, two months before his death at the age of eighty-five.
