About
The work of Graciela Iturbide (Mexico City, 1942) is of special relevance to Fundación MAPFRE, as her work not only constituted one of the first exhibitions dedicated to the incipient photography program that we began in 2008, but was also one of the first acquisitions of our Photography Collection.
This catalogue offers an extensive overview of the more than four decades of work of this Mexican artist, from her first photographs to her latest works in which she shows a new temporality, of extended times in landscapes, in found objects and in details that appear before her camera.
The publication reproduces nearly 200 photographs from the MAPFRE Foundation Collections and includes essays by photography specialist Marta Dahó, Mexican writer and journalist Juan Villoro, and an extensive biography by historian and independent curator Carlos Martín.

the book great, but the shipping costs are outrageous, and on top of that, to receive the package, I had to pay an additional €15 in customs fees, an extra expense that was not mentioned at any time and that I had not expected. In the end, the shipping almost cost me more than the book itself.
