This collection includes Han Lei's early work, specifically the photos he took from 1980's into the 1990's, when he was a student at the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts. The black and white images capture the local atmosphere of a China that hadn't been accelerated by globalisation in the 1980s, but had kept an overall traditional taste. Han Lei's nostalgic lens takes us into the ancient buildings, the quiet, the things that are no longer.
