About The Troubles
The Troubles documents the conflict that went on in Northern Ireland during the 1970's and 1908s'. Steele-Perkins visited Belfast in 1978 to capture the everyday lives of those who had been caught in the violence. This has become a classic series of images due to their brutal nature. As well as black and white images of the streets, the violence and the quotidian moments that happened in between, the book contains a series of interviews with subjects that appear in the book, but forty years after the violence.
