This paperback is full front to back with unpublished photographs made over the span of 40 years and three continents. You may say it is a non linear documentation of Waplington's life. Or even better - it is a friendly invitation to look at what appears to be only a small fraction of the massive archive of a photographer, who first got his hands on a camera at the age of 14 and has not gone anywhere without one ever since. The book contains everything from small projects never seen before to gallery based work, all mixed with photographs taken "on the go" as Waplington puts it. Waplington's work has always been driven by the need to share and to belong. Naturally people are a constant in it and this book shows this precisely. It's a journey, an adventure or as Nick himself says: "Oh and Anaglypta…it's whatever you want it to be.”
