About
Richly illustrated, beautifully produced and featuring never-before-published photographs, Andreas Gursky is an indispensable survey of four decades of work from one of the world's most influential artists.
Gursky has been widely celebrated for his monumental, extraordinarily detailed pictures, which often explore contemporary global themes. This volume takes a fresh look at the artists iconic images. In a landmark conversation between two major figures in contemporary photography, Gursky talks to Jeff Wall about the sources for his photographic vision, while an essay by Ralph Rugoff explores important but often neglected areas of the artist's work. Gerald Schröder and Brian Sholis contribute essays that provide new insight into key pictures, and Katharina Fritsch shares personal recollections of her Düsseldorf colleague.
