About Dietro Casa
Dietro Casa, translated as “behind the house”, uses a prosaic rock pile to mark the flow of time. As the world moves forward, the “pile ebbs into new shapes and sizes as cats cross paths and friends survey the curious space, acting as both metronome setting the narrative pace and homage to the great Walker Evans." Using double exposure and black and white photography to document 1980’s Italy, Guido’s images are haunting and moving. Apparitions double-exposing across our field of vision, and a young girl awakening from the book's gentle dreamscape. Guidi’s command of the medium lends itself to performance and cinema, performing on the ethereal stage he sets.
