"A photographer without a camera" which will be unveiled to the general public this summer in Arles.

Whatever you do, don't tell Katrien de Blauwer she makes collages: "Let's just say I'm a photographer without a camera. For me, the act of cutting is comparable to the click of a camera." She cuts, pastes, assembles, colors, and manipulates photographs gleaned from magazines of the 1950s and 60s that she hunts down and collects. Resembling film editing, her works possess an intense narrative charge.
The photos she shows no one represent ten years of work connected to memory. As intimate as it is anonymous, her work reveals possible scenarios for each of us.
