First UK edition first impression from 1950 in VG+ condition, the book is remarkably clean, the binding is firm, there are some very minor markings to the boards. The dustjacket is completely unrestored, aside from some internal professional strengthening to the inside of the spine. There is chipping and minor loss to the extremities. It is the first published and best known of seven novels in The Chronicles of Narnia (1950–1956).
